Our Modern Apprenticeship programme is work based, this means you will be employed in a hairdressing or Barbering salon, giving you the opportunity earn a wage, to learn, develop and gain skills while working towards a recognised qualification.

There are no educational requirement necessary to become a hairdresser / Barber, however if you have some, or all of the qualities listed, then this is the career path for you!

Job opportunities

Successful hairdressers/ Barbers can choose from many jobs: salon stylist/ Barber, colour technician, salon manager, freelance hairdresser/ barber, TV/ film work. Representative for product manufacturers, cruise ships, trainer, assessor, owner you own salon/ Barbers.

Hours of work

Your work will include working Saturdays with normally a day of during the week. Some salons also open late on one or two evenings during the week.

Income
